Boot Camp Physiotherapist
Janet Tinney
Janet Tinney, has a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Medicine from the University of British Columbia, 1981. She has worked in acute care hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and long term care. For the past 12 years she has focused her practice on manual therapy with the understanding that the body functions as a result of the interdependence of all systems and parts. For example, a stiff ankle may cause low back pain or fluid to build up behind the knee. Janet has taken many continuing education classes both nationally and internationally within the physiotherapy and osteopathic profession. Some of these techniques are visceral manipulation, cranial mobilisation, muscle energy and neural stretching. Examples of the many conditions which have favourably responded to her manual therapy are acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, headaches, obstructive lung disease, abdominal pain, and women’s health issues.
Janet has been assisting and presenting manual therapy seminars internationally for 6 years. She currently practices in Pitt Meadows, BC.
